All Business Email Addresses
Are Not Created Equal!
Consider how your business email address looks to others.
Let's say you receive two emails with the following email addresses.
Which email appears to be more professional?
Clearly jorge@lawfirm.com wins out.
His email address shows he works at a law firm and that gives him instant credibility.
If you are using email addresses from aol, yahoo, gmail, msn, comcast and the like for your business, you aren't presenting yourself and your business in the most positive manner.
What email address attracts business?
The best email address for your business is one that is keyed to your business website and/or company name. If you don’t have a website, you can still have a business email address by registering a domain name. There are dozens of domain hosting companies that sell inexpensive domain names that will provide you with a professional email address.
Plan your transition
When you have your new email address up an running it's easy to get customers to use it. First, notify everyone that you have a new email address. Don't cancel your existing email as people may still send emails to it as they transition to your new email address.
